Thanks to a report from a sharp-eyed customer, we’ve just released firmware version 2.3.0 to address a bug that can been seen with ultra-fast tapping.
What was happening?
Under very specific conditions - tapping a single note repeatedly at high speed for an extended period - the Quadwave could momentarily stop registering taps. The issue was rare, but for high-intensity performance styles or complex MIDI triggering, even a moment of unresponsiveness isn't acceptable.
What’s new in v2.3.0?
Firmware v2.3.0 completely resolves this bug. You can now tap rapid-fire notes for as long as you like, and the Quadwave will keep up with you every step of the way. No hiccups, no dropped taps - just flawless, expressive play.
How to update
You can install the new firmware right through the Quadwave Configuration Tool. You'll need to download the latest version from here. Connect your instrument to your computer, launch the tool, and follow the prompts to install version 2.3.0.
