Firmware v2.7.0 is here, adding two new features requested directly by community feedback. Both are designed to make the Quadwave even more flexible in real-world setups.
1. Touchpad Velocity Control
You can now turn touchpad velocity sensing on or off in the Misa Quadwave Configuration Tool.
This setting can be adjusted individually for each configuration program, giving you full control over whether the Quadwave sends note velocity or not.
While DAWs make it easy to ignore velocity when using software synths, some hardware synths don't offer that option. This new toggle makes it simple to disable velocity at the source.
2. Strum Mode: Open String Option
A new Strum Mode behavior option has been added for players who want a more natural response.
Normally, when you're in Strum Mode and playing a string on the touchpad, if you press and release a note on the neck, the fretted note continues to play until you either press another note or lift your finger from the touchpad.
Using the Misa Quadwave Configuration Tool, you can now change this behavior: when you lift your finger off the neck, the Quadwave returns to the open string note automatically.
This may be more natural for guitarist and bassists.
To use these new configuration switches, you need to update your firmware.
Grab firmware v2.7.0 from the Downloads Page and update your Quadwave today.
As always, thank you for your feedback! These refinements are made possible by your ideas and input.
